Expert visa consulting for Southern California, Arizona, Nevada, and New Mexico residents — we know every quirk of the LA Italian consulate, including the two-document-set rule.
LA consulate requires originals + two full copy sets of every document. Residency proof must be a CA, AZ, NV, or NM state ID — out-of-state IDs not accepted.
Two full document sets required
The LA consulate requires originals plus two complete copy sets — most applicants only bring one and get turned away.
Residency proof: only 4 states accepted
Only CA, AZ, NV, or NM state IDs work. If your ID is from another state, you need additional documentation.
Bank statements + pay stubs both required
The LA consulate requires both financial documents together — one alone is not sufficient.
PRENOT@MI slots disappear fast
LA serves a massive region — appointments open briefly and disappear. Self-booking in peak season means weeks of waiting.

Show up at the consulate
We handle the appointment and paperwork — you just walk in.
The LA consulate covers Southern California only (Imperial, Kern, LA, Orange, Riverside, Santa Barbara, San Bernardino, San Diego, San Luis Obispo, Ventura counties), plus AZ, NV, and NM. Northern California residents apply at the San Francisco consulate.
Only state-issued IDs or driver's licenses from California, Arizona, Nevada, or New Mexico are accepted. Out-of-state IDs are not accepted as residency proof at the LA consulate.
The LA consulate has stricter document requirements than most US consulates — they keep one full set on file and return one to you. Missing a second copy set is one of the most common reasons applicants are turned away on the spot.
Peak season (May–September) self-booking can take 4–8 weeks. Our clients typically get slots within 1–3 weeks because we monitor PRENOT@MI multiple times daily.
